About Me

I'm a 23 year old Christian conservative who lives in Slidell, Louisiana (USA).  Despite the fact that NASCAR and Southern rednecks go hand-in-hand, I'm actually quite sophisticated.  I like the way stock cars look but even I can't watch a whole race though.  I'd like the chance to be a race driver (if only I had the money...and the skills).

I've always been a fan of automobiles since I was young and the first racing games I got into was Microprose Gran Prix: World Circuit, Street Rod 2, Super Sprint, Cruis'n USA, Cruis'n World.  I really didn't know about Sega racing games at all until I first got the chance to play Daytona USA 2 at a nearby Namco Arcade in 2002.  That changed my mindset forever.

I started to learn more about Sega and other racing games like OutRun, Daytona 1, and Crazy Taxi.  I admired how Sega was always able to create unique, lively driving games so I kept promiting them as long as my internet venture began.  Eventually, Namco Arcade pitched the Daytona 2 cabinet in 2005 in favor of a Fast and the Furious arcade cabinet.  Needless to say, that was heartbreaking.  I still like other racing games too such as Gran Turismo, Forza, and San Francisco Rush so yeah, I'm not a total homer...

I like other things such as Classic Rock.  My favorite bands are Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Queen, Tom Petty, Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Creedence Clearwater Revival, etc.   I like sports in general but I love my New Orleans Saints (SB Champs).  I like other things such as good FPSes, Rock Band, good hygiene, and making Counter-Strike maps.  I'm attempting to get a Master's in Computer Science/Video Game Design so I can knock some sense into this deprived generation of games and make good, wholesome games that last a lifetime.

I believe that every person has a story to tell.  Something that they've aspired to and experiences thereof.  That's why we learn from history and from others.  I just want to tell you about my story, experiences, etc. through this blog.  If you want to hear my story, see these blog entries:
